Space Dust AR Mural 240 x 60 inches, Acrylic on Canvas The Space Dust AR Mural was a part of Manhattan Youth program, which was designed to engage, inform, and encourage young people to ask: “What do we want our future to look like? What can we do to alter our future within our community” This program has inspired youth to aspirations and vision for the future through an artistic, cross-disciplinary lens. Students took what they learned about story telling and game design and reflected these ideas in their designs for their school’s mural. In doing so, they have started a conversation to raise their voices to all who encounter this work of art. This project at Spruce Street School had three primary components: (1) a series of arts education workshops, (2) game design and technology workshops (3) the creation of a new indoor AR/VR mural in the Gehry Building New York, NY. All components were led by artist Kristine Keller, who was chosen by Manhattan Youth Selection Committee.
